The State Employees Responding as Volunteers Program - SERV - is an employee benefit available to eligible employees in the Executive Branch who have at least six months of state service. The New England Center for Homeless Veterans, (NECHV) is an approved non-profit agency of the Commonwealth's SERV program. With supervisor approval, an employee may volunteer during their regular work schedule up to one day per month (7.5 or 8 hours per month; pro-rated for part-time employees.)
