Ways of Giving
Whether by check, credit card, securities, real estate or personal property, your gift to NECHV provides key support to Veterans. Every gift counts, and we thank you! If you wish to make a secure online donation, please visit: https://www.nechv.org/donations/online-giving/
Cash Contributions: Check, Cash, or Credit Card
Direct cash gifts are the most common form of giving and can be unrestricted or designated. Gifts can be designated to NECHV’s greatest needs, capital improvements or educational training. Gifts can also be directed to a specific project, program, or capital campaign area. Cash gifts may be made outright or by pledge, and are tax-deductible as permitted by law. For more information, please contact Charlene F. Pontbriand, Senior Vice President, Advancement.

Matching Gift Options
More than 1,000 corporations, foundations and other organizations will match their employees’ charitable contributions either dollar-for-dollar, or at a ratio of 2-to-1, 3-to-1 or even 4-to-1. See if your company will match your gift. You can double or triple your donation to NECHV by participating in a matching gift.

Credit Card Gifts/Pledges by Phone
Call 617-371-1709 during business hours; we will process your gift securely. For security reasons, please do not leave your credit card information on voice mail or include it in an e-mail message. You can also make your gift online 24 hours a day.
Gifts of Stock, Bonds, or Mutual Fund Shares
Outright gifts of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, mutual fund shares) are tax-deductible at full fair-market value if the donor has owned the asset for at least 12 months. To avoid capital gains taxes, you must transfer the ownership of the securities to the NECHV brokerage account.
Gifts of closely held stock (usually stock in a family-owned business) also carry benefits for the donor. The stock must have been held for at least 12 months for you to claim a charitable deduction at full fair market value.
